We meet on the third Tuesday of the month, every month at
Anyone who is interested in Ruby is invited to attend. Our members include full-time Rubyists, web-workers who have used Ruby on one or two products, and those who have only used Ruby for fun (some developers, some not). While some Greenville Rubyists have used Ruby professionally for years, others have just started with the language. Anyone who is interested in Ruby is more than welcome to attend.
Our meetings are pretty informal. There has been idle talk of presentations in the past, but most meetings go one of two ways: (1) we talk about Ruby and/or general programming topics for an hour or two, or (2) we talk about Ruby/programming for a while and then do some programming related task (e.g., TDDing Conway's Game of Life, a code kata). We're open to suggestions and new things, but that's what our meetings have looked like in the past.
The next meeting
The next meeting is the next 3rd Tuesday of the month. If you want a reminder or to be sure the meeting is still on, hit us up on Twitter (@greenvillerb). We'll announce the meeting there, and if there is a change for any reason, we'll announce that there as well.
